All polymer clay will last indefinetly as long as it is cured properly. Just as Kim mentioned in her post the only thing that will cause it to dederiate is direct sun light. Direct sun light for short periods will not harm it, but prolonged sun light will oxidize the surface and cause it to break down. As far as purchasing ProSculpt in Japan goes I will do what I can to save you money. If you will write me personally at jack@artdolls.com I will try to work out a volume purchase for you to help save you money. We try to help our overseas customers save whenever we can.

Thank you for your answer, Kim. Now I am buying Prosculpt in ebay(this is cheper for me and because here in Japan I can buy just CATO policlay wich is very expensive also). Befor I moved to Japan I could not get the polimer clay in any craft store(I am from Russia - Siberia). One more question: I am painting dolls with artist oil paint and Genesis oil paint. What will happen if doll be expose to direct sunlight? It will be bad just for clouth and paint or for clay too? Thank you.

Hi Victoriya. Did I understand your question to be, " Will the prosculpt clay sculpture last a lifetime if the client puts the sculpture under glass. I say "yes" as long as the sculpture is not exposed to heat or in direct sunlight. It should last a lifetime. Prosculpt is a polymer clay, the best I believe and extremely durable, and can withstand multiple firings. Did I also understand you to say that you could not get polymer clay where you were living? Where do you live? Kim Stout, fellow sculptor.

Subject:Lifetime of ProSculpt clay

Good everning! I wonder how many years sculpture, made of ProSculpt can leave(If buyers keep doll behind the glass). I use polimer clay just about 5 years and Prosculpt 3 years(befor I was using just nonhardener clay and ..natural clay..it was a huge problem to find out a polimer clay when I leaved in my home town), so I dont know is it possible to keep doll 20-30 years in a same or nearly same condition? Sorry for my bad english :) Thank you for your time!
