Subject:Prosculpt and Genesis Heat Paints

I have had 2 doll heads crack when baking them...I am baking at 270 for 10 mins. I then apply the Genesis Paint and put them back in at 265 for 8 mins...The arms and legs are fine but the head cracks...I tried one head solid and another head I put a foil ball into. Both of them cracked. Am I not supposed to bake them again once they have cured the first time? Thanks for any help.

Am I supposed to leave the thicker pieces in the oven for a slow cool down? The dolls head is about 1 inch thick.

I recommend you use hollow head armatures. You should cure them for 15 minutes at 275 degrees. Once they are cured you may assure they don't crack by submersing them in ice water until they are cold. Call me if you have any questions. Jack
