Subject:Re: Head Armature 14

Hi Sara, heres what you do...measure out 14 inches on a piece of paper...your armature for your santa should be around 6 heads in length, santa wasent a big man, normal bodies are about 7 1/2 heads to 8 heads. So if you start at the top with a 1 1/4 foil head you should be able to measure out 6 heads. Give or take a few bars..this isnt a exact science and rememer this too when measuring out your heads, you might start out with a 1 1/4 foil head butyou are going to add at least 1/4 clay to it, so when i do my bodys I always add a 1/4 inch to the top and bottom, so I am really measuring out 2 1/4 head length, whew I hope that wasent too confusing! I hope it helps you anyway good luck! doll hugs Karen

Subject:Head Armature 14"

Hello, i brought Jack Johnston's Santa DVD and I want to make a 14" not 18" santa I already have the 14" body coming in the mail from jack. I was wondering how big should I make my foil armature for my head? The dvd shows my how to make one but not how big to make it. Thanks Sarah
