Your question is a good one, and requires a long answer. I will try to make it as short as I can, so I don't take all of your time. The title Master sculptor is awarded by two schools in America (that I know of) Seeleys Porcelain Company offers a Masters Certificate for finishing their course. I don't know everything that is included in the course or how long it takes, of course you may contact them directly to find out more about it. I do know that it is in Porcelain doll making. Johnston Original Artdolls Academy offers a Masters/Professional Doll Making Course. It is given once a year in September. To take the course you must attend one of the beginning course, and then the advanced course. Once you have completed both courses you need to submit to attend the Masters/Professional Course. The course is by invitation only, so everyone who submits do not automatically come. If you have a desire to attend the Johnston Masters program you must first attend the other two seminars. If you do, I will watch you closely and see if you have the skills to take the Masters course. If you have a strong enough desire I know you can do it. I am very interested to know what qualifies a person as a master sculptor. I love sculpting and my goal is to become a master sculptor myself. Please advise.
