OOOO thanks a lot! I have a friend that has lots of knitting needles I can experiment with to get the right size curl.

I use various sizes of metal knitting needles as "curlers". I prefer the double pointed kneedles used to knit in the round. wet the hair and it will cling to the metal. then you can let it dry naturally or bake it for quicker drying--same temp as for prosculpt works great. you can use the tiniest needles to get very small curls.

Thanks for the info. I thought that might work, but was not sure if it would hold. I'll give it a try!
Thanks again,

Lori is 100% right. The smaller the straw the smaller the curl. I personally like to wrap it wet, put a pin through the straw and let it set over night. Like Lori said, it is natural fiber so it will curl perfectly. You don't have to use anything other than hair spray to hold it in place once you have styled the hair. The doll won't move and mess it up. Good luck, Jack

David,
Mohair is a natural hair so you can used either heat or wet to achieve a curl. I have cut drinking straws, to the lenghth I needed, then dampened the mohair and wrapped it around the straw like curlers on the doll. You can also do this with the hair before you attach it to the doll. I have also used a small curling iron on the hair to get it to curl. You said you needed a tight curl, in my experiance I got tighter curls when I got the hair wet and curled it around straws.

Can anyone tell me the best way to put a permanent curl in mohair? I have a lot of straight hair and am doing a doll that needs rather tight curly hair and really hate to buy more hair just for that doll. I would appreciate any and all suggestions.
Thanks,
David G
