We are proud to announce that Jack Johnston has received The Crystal Award for Industry Leadership. March the 2nd, 2008 Jones Publication (Dolls and Doll Crafter Magazines publisher) awarder Jack with the industries highest award. The award will be officially presented to Jack at The Doll & Teddy Bear EXPO in Washington, DC on the 9th of August 2008. Industry leaders and collectors alike will attend the gala event honoring Jack for his outstanding role in promoting and representing the doll industry. We would like to invite you to write a note to Jack in this forum or directly to him at jack@artdolls.com. We would also like to invite you to attend the doll show and banquet in Washington, DC this August. Thanks my friends, it is wonderful to be recognized for something you enjoy doing. With all of the encouragement I've received I'm motivated to give it another 20 years. I'm afraid this old body wouldn't stand still for it, but I'll try. LOL

Dear, Jack: I am so proud of you!!! It couldn't go to a more deserving person! Truly, I'm so happy that you are being honored for all your hard work in the doll making industry? Over the years, you have managed to invent ProSculpt (the professionals choice), write or back numerous how to books, build a doll supply empire, raise eight children... all while practically living out of a suitcase circling the globe teaching and finding fresh talent for the industry. I know, I will personally forever be grateful to you for sharing your vast knowledge with me, for giving me encouragement and direction from step A to B and beyond. One of the most important lessons, I've learned from you is that despite life's trials, they can be overcome and you can still find your way in this industry. Rarely, has anything worthwhile come into my life easy but, you were a huge influence in making it much easier. I'm getting there inch by inch. Thank you so much Jack and congratulations again!

We just heard about the award you will be presented with in August! CONGRATULATIONS, it is well deserved. Without your help I would never have had the chance of going to Expo 2005, showing my work and getting a wonderful contract with Heart and Soul, and like with me, I know you helped so many more talented artists!

There have been times that I have doubted my worth, but you have all given me such great praise that you make me want to continue to teach and help others sculpt market their creations. I see such wonderful work from my students that it makes me proud to say, "I had a small part in his or her education". It seems that the older we get the more we appreciate our teachers and mentors. Congratulation Jack!!!! I will be in Washington to see you get this well deserve award. It have been wonderful to know you and get to use you clay. I thank you for re introducing me to the wondeful world of polymer clay. With out your clay I wouldn't be back in the polymer clay, and sculpting dolls!
